The adjunct will teach the following course: COMD 512 Diagnostics and Intervention. This course will be taught in-person; remote work is not available for this course.

COMD 512 Course Description: This course covers the principles and practice involved in performing in-depth diagnostic evaluations with individuals exhibiting various communication disorders and planning appropriate intervention programs. Course Design and Length: This is a 3-credit course taken in the fall semester by new, first year graduate students. The adjunct faculty will work closely with the Director of Clinical Education for guidance and support when implementing simulations.

They will be responsible for instructing students each day of the course as well as keeping up with the course Moodle page (similar to Black Board or Canvas). They will be responsible for creating and implementing clinical simulations appropriate to the course content and/or assigning SimuCases, for which they will track and approve clinical simulation hours on the Calipso platform. The adjunct is responsible for timely communications with students in-person or via email throughout the length of the course. Applicants must have the ability to physically be present on campus each day of the course and be able to deliver content for several consecutive hours (with short breaks). Candidates are preferred who can lift a minimum of 25 pounds as needed. The adjunct faculty member reports directly to the Program Director.

Applicants must meet the minimum education and professional experience qualifications listed in order to be considered for the position. All decisions are made upon the discretion of the department.
