Job Description
The Construction Superintendent (CS) ensures projects are completed safely, on budget, on schedule, and to quality standards. The CS supervises craft workers, manages subcontractors, oversees scheduling and materials, enforces safety and quality policies, and leads training and personnel development on site.
Core Responsibilities
Ensure project safety compliance and enforce safety policies
Lead quality control for both the company and the subcontractors
Develop and implement pre-job plans and course corrections
Participate in scheduling and job planning
Supervise and coordinate company workforce and subcontractors
Hire, train, evaluate, and retain personnel
Conduct weekly subcontractor scheduling meetings
Maintain accurate timekeeping, logs, cost records, and project documentation
Inspect and manage material receiving and equipment needs
Foster positive owner and stakeholder relations
Ensure high-quality standards and adherence to project goals
Must-Have Qualifications
3–7 years of experience managing or overseeing installation of low-voltage building systems
Electrical / Low Voltage Systems experience
Supervision of communications systems installation
Supervision of outside/inside plant cabling installation
Supervision of structured cabling systems installation
Security systems integration experience
Audio-visual systems integration experience
Communication systems integration experience
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or BICSI – RTPM (Certified Technology Project Manager)
Additional credentials: BICSI Certified Cable Installer, RCDD – Registered Designer
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business
Professional accreditations: DBIA, LEED, etc.

Regular climbing of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps
Requires balance, stooping, reaching, grasping, and visual acuity
Frequent exposure to noisy environments, outdoor elements, and variable temperatures
Ability to operate vehicles as certified and appropriate
