NEW BONUS OPPORTUNITY: Effective 6/15, part-time and full-time temporary Cooks and Lead Cooks at The Grill at Crooked Creek Marina and The Grill at Clemson Marina are eligible to earn a $150 bonus per biweekly pay period during the 2025 summer season, provided they meet weekly hour requirements through 10/4. Whether you have years of cooking experience or are eager to grow your culinary skills, this seasonal role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. This temporary/seasonal position ends in October and requires weekend and holiday availability. Essential Functions: Prepare a variety of menu items according to recipes and guest preferences. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following safety and sanitation procedures. Ensure food is cooked to the proper temperature and meets quality standards. Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure orders are completed in a timely and organized manner. Assist with daily kitchen prep work, including cutting ingredients, preparing sauces, and organizing supplies. Assist in restocking and replenishing ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and organization using the FIFO method. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and ensuring workstations, equipment, and storage areas are orderly and sanitized. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food storage and preparation standards. Required Qualifications: Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices (training provided for those with limited experience). Ability to remain patient and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong manual dexterity, with the ability to safely handle cutting tools and kitchen equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food. Positive attitude and excellent teamwork abilities. Clear background check and drug screening. Full weekend and summer holiday availability. Typical hours of operation are Friday–Sunday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a cook or kitchen role. Familiarity with kitchen health and safety regulations. Serve Safe certification. Enthusiasm for lakeside living and the boating lifestyle. Working Conditions: Performs work primarily indoors in a kitchen setting, where temperatures can occasionally become hot due to cooking activities. Remains stationary for extended periods of time. Operates grills, fryers, cutting tools, and other kitchen equipment safely. Moves up to 25 lbs. The anticipated pay for this position is $12.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
