ABOUT THE ROLE:

The CRA & Fair Lending Analyst supports the organization's compliance efforts across key regulatory areas including the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Fair Lending, and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). Responsibilities include collecting and validating CRA data, analyzing complaint trends for regulatory risk, and assisting with audits and examinations. Will contributes to training initiatives, maintains public file disclosures, and participates in company projects to ensure regulatory adherence. A commitment to continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration is essential, along with flexibility to take on additional duties that advance compliance and organizational objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Oversee the collection of CRA data and maintain the integrity of CRA data through validation, correction, and periodic review


  • Assist with analysis of CRA-related data to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment


  • Reviews community development activities for CRA eligibility and supports outreach initiatives to strengthen engagement


  • Contributes to strategic efforts aimed at improving CRA performance and ratings


  • Assist with analyzing loan data to identify potential fair lending concerns among protected groups.


  • Ensures HMDA data integrity through regular audits and reconciliations


  • Participate in fair lending risk assessments and monitor marketing, underwriting, and pricing practices for Complaints Monitoring.


  • Evaluates consumer complaints across a wide range of issues to identify emerging trends, operational risks, and potential regulatory concerns


  • Supports the development of effective remediation strategies, ensures thorough documentation, and facilitates appropriate escalation and resolution processes


  • Supports internal and external audits and prepares documentation for regulatory exams


  • Maintains the CRA Public File with timely updates and accurate disclosures and coordinates the public comment processes


  • Assists with designs and delivery of training programs on CRA and Fair Lending requirements


  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company procedures, policies, and regulations through ongoing education and specialized training, and represent the compliance function in company projects to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations


  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the compliance function and organizational goals



WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, public policy, economics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or 2+ years of experience in a bank or financial institution, preferably in the consumer compliance area


  • Working knowledge of CRA, Fair Lending, or regulatory compliance is preferred


  • Proficiency in data analysis (Excel, SQL, SAS, or similar tools)


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically performed in an office setting. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office utilizing proper ergonomic safeguards when doing so. Additionally, the employee must occasionally lift or move supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.

BASE PAY RANGE:

$55,000 - $75,000 per year
