Job Description: The Custodian I performs general cleaning tasks within University buildings.
Full Time Position Monday - Friday 4:00AM - 12:30PM.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Our nationally recognized compensation package features an hourly rate of $18.94 along with a comprehensive benefits program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs cleaning functions including dust, mop, wet mop, vacuum, gathers and disposes trash, washes walls, vents, windows, fixtures, etc.
- Cleans restrooms using germicide solution for control of bacteria and odors, polishes fixtures, replaces disposables such as toilet tissues, paper towels and fills soap dispensers
- Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization
Qualifications: - Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions
- Cleaning/custodial experience preferred
- Must have manual ability to perform general cleaning, which may include moving furniture
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
