Thank you for your interest in joining the Nusenda team! We are currently seeking a Fraud Systems Analyst to join our organization. As the Fraud Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for serving as the technical backbone of the credit union’s fraud prevention department and functions, specializing in data mining, predictive modeling, and system optimization. You will produce advanced analytics on all transactions across digital, branch, and ATM channels, identifying anomalies indicative of fraud (e.g., mule accounts, synthetic identities). You will tune the fraud detection platform, ensuring rules align with real-time threat intelligence and risk thresholds while partnering internally to integrate data sources, automate workflows, and enhance predictive accuracy. Additionally, you will translate data trends into reports stakeholders. To thrive in this role, you should have three to five years of similar or related experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or related field. This position is equal parts advanced data analysis, technical proficiency, and stakeholder partnerships. Key Skills and Experience: Advanced data analysis and technical proficiency (SQL, Python). Able to conduct deep-dive analysis of transaction data, account behavior, and external threat intelligence to detect emerging fraud typologies such as account takeovers, scam fraud, elder abuse, and synthetic identities. Ability to work closely with Fraud Investigators, Fraud Investigations Manager, Fraud Specialists, Fraud Operations Manager, and the Compliance department to identify and mitigate threats, thereby protecting the organization and its members from financial losses and reputational damage. Experience in developing and refining rules and thresholds to reduce false positives and improve the accuracy of fraud detection systems. Knowledge of updating rules based on the latest fraud patterns and intelligence including thresholds to balance sensitivity and specificity, ensuring legitimate transactions are not flagged unnecessarily while effectively identifying fraudulent ones.
