Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic is to oversee the maintenance and repairs of heavy powered equipment such as excavators, trenchers backhoes, and fusion machines. Must be able to make major and minor diesel engine repairs, and work on a vehicle's electrical and exhaust systems. Also ensure the efficiency of operations.

Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
* Minimum years of experience for this job is 3 years.
* Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
* Inspect heavy duty diesel machines such as Vermeer, Trench Tech, Volvo, Caterpillar parts such as engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
* Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability, troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
* Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
* Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users.
* Repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy-duty construction equipment.
* Be physically fit
* Order materials needed to manufacture parts.
* Ensure that the shop is adequately stocked with materials and parts.
* Must be able to drive to job location to evaluate and repair equipment if needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
