As we rapidly expand, we need talented individuals to join our team. The Physician Reviewer is responsible for conducting Clinical Appropriateness Reviews within our organization. Key duties include advising other physician reviewers, participating in daily calls with health plan teams and local teams, and assisting with care coordination and process improvements in our Delegated Utilization Management area. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct Clinical Appropriateness Reviews in assigned territories, establishing 2-3 cases daily per market (up to 6 markets). Ensure participation in all health plan and local calls, and attend weekly PCP and SNF meetings covering the assigned territories. Advise and support other physician reviewers. Perform additional duties as assigned or modified by the manager. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Excellent analytical and deductive reasoning skills Good judgment and problem-solving abilities Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Strong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited Medical School with an unrestricted medical license Completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice Fellowship in Gastroenterology Board certification in residency specialty and in Gastroenterology Preferred: 2+ years in hospital medicine and 1+ year in utilization review We’re ChenMed, transforming healthcare for seniors and improving America’s healthcare system.
