Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler
Job Description

As a Light Industrial Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly and quality control of stairs, ensuring all components are properly matched, assembled, and secured. This role involves manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Individuals in this position will be cross-trained in various sub-departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Match the appropriate parts to the stringers.
• Assemble stairs by inserting tread and risers into the stringer, clamping the stair, gluing and hammering in wedges, gluing and stapling in the v-block, and nailing/screwing the riser into the back of the tread.
• Remove stair from assembly table and move it to the punch-out table.
• Conduct quality control by checking for any nail or screw blow-outs and ensuring everything is properly seated and secured.
• Cut and install scotia and wrap stairs as needed.
• Stage stairs on skids for the loading department.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Ability to lift 75 lbs independently

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, and Friday from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. The shop is maintained to be very clean, with employees required to clean their area before and at the end of the day. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
