Role Description This full‑time, on‑site position for a Mortgage Loan Officer is based at Icon Lending's office in Troy, MI. The Mortgage Loan Officer will guide clients through the mortgage process, help identify the appropriate loan products, and assist with completing mortgage applications. Responsibilities include analyzing applicants' financial status, providing pre‑qualification and pre‑approval services, communicating loan terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and nurturing relationships with clients and partners to grow the company’s customer base. Qualifications Strong knowledge of mortgage lending practices, loan origination, and regulatory requirements. Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer service skills to build and maintain client relationships. Proficiency in financial analysis, credit evaluation, and assessing borrower qualifications. Effective verbal and written communication skills to explain loan products and processes clearly to clients and partners. Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment and contribute to the success of a collaborative team. Proven ability to meet sales goals and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. Must hold a valid NMLS license or be eligible to obtain one. Previous experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is preferred but not required.
