Family Description Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support. AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development. Subfamily Description Integration, Verification & Testing (IVT) comprises the integration of SW and / or HW or system components into system, platform, product releases, or networks and verifies the integrated entity or network against particular requirements and specifications. Covers setup and maintenance of laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in Kubernetes or Red Hat OS domains to join our E2E R&D team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business requirements coming from Portfolio Management and creating studies for the future items. At the same time, maintaining architecture documents for Nokia Cloud Platform. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and hands-on integration and verification skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management to ensure seamless integration of NCP solution into our rapidly evolving environment. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of Nokia Cloud Platform that align with business requirements. Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and leadership in the integration of NCP within the existing solution, ensuring scalability, high level of automation, footprint and performance optimization. Management Engagement: Work closely with Portfolio Management to understand their business challenges, translate requirements into technical solutions, and present architectural recommendations. Analyze the new requirements and create detailed technical studies when needed to support the stakeholders on decision making. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal and external teams, including product management, engineering and architect teams. Innovation & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud and automation domains, and drive continuous improvement and innovation within the R&D. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure comprehensive documentation of all architectural designs and adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in senior engineer roles, preferably as solution architect, with at least 3-5 years specifically in any cloud area. Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of Kubernetes. Strong experience with cloud computing, virtualization (NFV), and software-defined networking (SDN). Familiarity with cloud automation. Knowledge of security standards and protocols relevant to cloud. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure Solution Architect or any cloud certification. Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions for complex challenges. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in managing multiple projects and working in a fast-paced, agile environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams.
