We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will hold a current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification and have experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. This role supports pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients and healthcare providers.
• Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile medications under supervision.
• Maintain and restock automated dispensing machines and medication carts.
• Receive, unpack, and verify incoming pharmaceutical shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and controlled substances.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Required: Active PTCB Certification (CPhT)
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, drug names, and pharmacy operations.
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems (e.g., Pyxis, Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
