About the Facility

This terminal offers direct deep-water access to imported fertilizer for local markets and increased rail access to agricultural markets throughout the Midwest and Eastern United States. The facility has a large 55,000 MT warehouse located approximately 60 miles upriver from New Orleans, situated on the Mississippi River, and employs around 10 full-time and contract personnel.

Job Overview

This position supports daily terminal operations, focusing on loading product into railcars and trucks and receiving product from ships into the warehouse. The Loadout Operator is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient storage operations, facility cleanliness, and assisting in general terminal duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for cleanliness, report condition to the control room operator.
• Do not enter railcars unless wearing all OSHA-certified PPE and accompanied by another Yara employee.
• Inspect truck beds for cleanliness and secure tailgates; report any contamination to the control room.
• Coordinate safely and efficiently with truck drivers during loadout.
• Participate in all mandatory safety training and emergency preparedness exercises.
• Crosstrain with other operational roles (loadout, wheel-loader, control room, maintenance) to provide support as needed.
• Maintain the warehouse and terminal grounds for safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of all warehouse equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by terminal management.

Requirements:
Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• TWIC card required.
• Lift and carry bags/materials weighing 25-50 lbs .
• Use a shovel to move heavy cargo.

**Must have a clean background, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
