Critical Business Analysis has an immediate need for a full-time QA/QC Electrical Utility Project Scheduler Analyst, with a minimum of 5 years' experience. This position will be responsible for training schedule analysist's, reviewing project schedules, utilizing Acumen Fuse and Earned value management to mitigate risks to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud,
  • Coordinate with project controls, project managers, and engineers.
  • Utilize scheduling best practices including Work Breakdown Structure, Schedule Narratives, float management, activity codes, maintain Schedule Impact Log, etc.
  • Allocate project resources such as labor, equipment and materials based on project requirements and schedule constraints
  • Monitor progress against the baseline schedule, identify deviations, and suggest corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct schedule impact assessments to evaluate the consequences of proposed changes or deviations from the original plan.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and help develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with project teams to perform and review schedule updates, address issues and ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Ability to follow Scheduling Standards and hold Project Managers and other schedulers accountable for compliance with those standards.
  • Ensure that project schedules adhere to industry standards, best practices, and contractual requirements.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in scheduling techniques, software tools, and industry trends to enhance scheduling capabilities.
Requirements
  • Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Preferred, but not required
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Scheduler in the Electrical Utility industry.
    • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Knowledge of construction processes, techniques and terminology.
    • Knowledge of Earned Value Management is preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of Acumen Fuse is preferred, but not required
    • Previous training or mentorship experience preferred, but not required
