We are seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

The Quality Improvement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services within a medical setting. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality improvement initiatives that align with federal regulations and organizational goals. The coordinator collaborates with clinical programs and managed care teams to ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid standards while promoting best practices in member care. By leveraging data analytical skills, the role identifies trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement to drive measurable outcomes. Ultimately, the Quality Improvement Coordinator ensures that healthcare delivery meets high standards of quality, safety, and member satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on quality improvement or medical management.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and quality measurement tools.
  • Experience working within managed care environments and clinical program coordination.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Quality Improvement or Healthcare Quality (e.g., CPHQ).
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare data analytics software.
  • Familiarity with member safety initiatives and clinical outcomes measurement.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or project management role within healthcare quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement quality improvement projects in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Monitor compliance with federal regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements, and prepare reports for regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement in member care and service delivery.
  • Coordinate with managed care and medical management teams to align quality initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Develop training materials and conduct educational sessions to promote quality standards and best practices among staff. Prepare and present detailed reports on quality metrics and improvement outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
