  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs for mechanical equipment, ensuring integration with mill-wide operations to maximize asset uptime.
  • Mentor and develop reliability engineers, planners, and maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices in equipment care.
  • Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for reliability and work management, reporting weekly on progress, costs, and benefits to mill leadership.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and purchasing teams to ensure reliability is built into new projects, equipment procurement, and outage planning.
  • Conduct failure analysis on mechanical systems, implement corrective actions, and support tank, vessel, and pressure equipment integrity programs.
  • Introduce new reliability technologies, such as vibration analysis and lubrication optimization, to enhance predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for mechanical reliability, resolving issues mill-wide and promoting standards for essential care and preventive maintenance.
  • Plan and execute maintenance and repairs during outages, managing resources, contractors, and timelines to minimize production disruptions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, safety enhancements, and environmental compliance through data analysis and risk-based decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent management experience; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical maintenance, RCFA, predictive technologies (e.g., vibration, lubrication), and CMMS systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence teams, build consensus, and drive results in a fast-paced setting.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven problem-solving, risk management, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of safety culture in manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and strategic vision.
