As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Alabaster, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic healthcare location. You will conduct armed patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to incidents with professionalism and care. Your presence will provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to staff, patients, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and/or critical situations, following established protocols for emergency response when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior and exterior areas of the healthcare location to help to deter unwanted activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or unusual circumstances to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with the enforcement of access control policies, verifying identification, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to coordinate security-related activities and respond to requests for assistance.
  • Complete incident reports and daily activity logs as required by site policies and Allied Universal standards.
  • Support hospital staff and law enforcement as needed during emergency situations or disturbances, always maintaining professionalism and composure while armed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience and at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
