As a Security Professional - Flex Patrol in Smithfield, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the site, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be expected to monitor access points, check badges, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns or requests for assistance. This position may involve working in areas with limited on-site facilities, such as portable restrooms or rustic guard shacks, so adaptability and professionalism are important. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of activity within the location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or vendors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Support site-specific needs for the food and beverage environment, including monitoring for compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
