In this role, you will develop, test, and troubleshoot solutions on top of the relational database management system as part of a team with end-to-end responsibility for the Network Management product. You will utilize your excellent database knowledge to create structures, balance performance, scalability, and maintainability. Your daily tasks include contributing to feature specification, development, testing, and automation. You will support migrating from the current Oracle database to a PostgreSQL database and proactively manage the database environment, playing a key role in ensuring the scalability of our network management systems. With a solid background in software development and practical experience, you are well-equipped to assist other developers in enhancing feature performance through query optimization, indexing best practices, and efficient database configuration. You are eager to share your knowledge and skills with colleagues and coach team members. As part of a multicultural environment, good command of English is essential. Qualifications You have: 8+ years’ experience in software engineering and administering Oracle / PostgreSQL databases in Linux environments Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL Ability to set up, monitor, and maintain Oracle / PostgreSQL instances Experience creating optimized schema designs that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability Experience with software testing (DFMEA, various testing levels, automation, testing tools) Nice to have: Comprehensive knowledge of version control (Git/Gerrit) Java or Python knowledge Experience working with OpenShift and Kubernetes Please note that this role requires presence at the Tampere office (hybrid work arrangements) and does not include international relocation options.
