Sew Fun Consultant
Inspire, Teach, and Sew Your Way Across Washington!

Love sewing and want to share that passion with others? This part-time independent contractor
role lets you do just that-on your schedule and in your style-with the support of a welcoming,
enthusiastic sewing community.

If you are...
 Passionate about sewing, embroidery, quilting, garment making, or home décor (you love
trying new tools and techniques),
 Skilled at creating projects that wow-whether it's piecing a quilt, stitching up a new
wardrobe, or adding flair with machine embroidery,
 Excited to sew 6-8 projects with tools and products provided by Quality Sewing (plus a
fabric allowance, of course!),
 Comfortable explaining your process and teaching others-whether on stage or on camera,
 Someone who enjoys meeting new people and helping them get inspired,
 A great communicator-via email, text, in person, and in front of a camera,
 Organized, self-motivated, and able to set your own schedule and meet deadlines,
 Familiar with basic computer skills like email, Google Sheets, QR codes, and YouTube
tutorials (and willing to learn what you don't know),
 Comfortable lifting 15-20 lb totes, climbing a short step ladder, and driving store-to-store in
your reliable car,
 Experienced in presenting or teaching (bonus points if you've done both!),

And would love to...
 Sew at home to your heart's content-while creating beautiful, fun, or functional samples to
share,
 Choose your own projects, fabrics, and the tips you want to highlight,
 Connect with fellow sewists at five stores over a 2-week period, presenting 15 times to
groups of 30-60 attendees,
 Present confidently in both in-person and virtual settings (you'll even film a version in our
studio),
 Join a community that values creativity, learning, and connection,
 Represent Quality Sewing & Vacuum as an ambassador of all things fun and stitched!

We offer...
 $200 per presentation (15 per round-2 to 4 times per year),
 $170 travel stipend,
 Fabric allowance card each month you present,
 Products and tools are yours to keep when you make your project samples,
 $75 stipend for quarterly consultant meetings and trainings,

 Flexible, independent schedule with creative freedom and built-in community support.

A Day in the Life of a Sew Fun Consultant
As a consultant, you get to make the magic happen behind the scenes-at home, in your sewing
room, stitching up samples and preparing for your next round of presentations. You'll
collaborate with the Sew Fun Manager and your co-presenter for that round, stay organized
with your project timeline, and then hit the road to inspire others at our stores across
Washington.
You'll share tips, tricks, and lessons learned from your projects-giving members the confidence
and curiosity to try new things. You'll be an educator, entertainer, and inspiration wrapped into
one-and an important part of the vibrant, friendly community at Quality Sewing.
