Job Title: SMT Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator with a minimum of 2 years of experience operating SMT machines, preferably MyData/Mycronic/MyCenter. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of machine setup, teardown, and providing support to the lead SMT operator.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up SMT machines efficiently.
  • Support lead SMT operator in daily tasks.
  • Inspect machine-placed components for quality assurance.
  • Ensure the quality of solder paste prints.
  • Read and follow written instructions and interpret diagrams accurately.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with SMT machines.
  • Technical aptitude through hobbies or work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues.
  • Proficiency in SMT operation, soldering, and electronics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • IPC Certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and 10-key.
  • One year of stock room and inventory experience.
  • Experience in cycle counting and inventory control.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The work environment is within a small, family-owned electronics manufacturing company that produces printed circuit boards. You will work with older equipment and be expected to assist in various aspects of the manufacturing process. The ability to read, speak, and understand English is essential for clear communication.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
