We’re looking for a talented, creative, and enthusiastic UI Motion Designer to join us on a NEW journey, creating and bringing to life a new game with an exciting IP. In this role, you will report to and work with the Art Director on features for the project that play to your strengths.

You will work with a team of experienced artists, developers, and product managers to expand, develop, and maintain the game. It's a fun, fast-paced environment!

In this role, you will be responsible for creating animations of the game’s art from initial conception and storyboarding to implementation. You will be responsible for preparing and optimizing assets for further animation and supporting both the Art and Development teams in questions related to animations.

  • Create high quality animations for User Interface and Visual Effects, guided by the established art direction 

  • Partner with Tech Artists to support animation integration to ensure all animations retain app performance requirements

  • Ability to propose original animation concepts and VFXs based on game and brand understanding

  • Anticipate potential technical limitations & develop innovative solutions

  • 2D Unity Editor Animations 

  • Create source file templates & workflow documentation

  • Continuously improve the polish on existing and new animations

  • Planning and estimating Animation effort for projects

What We're Looking For

  • Understanding of animation principles and how they work within game mechanics, game legibility and engine constraints

  • Proficient in After Effects, Photoshop and Spine 2D

  • Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of 2D Unity Editor Animations 

  • Adept at task management & tracking, advanced use of tools like Confluence & Jira

  • Comfortable planning and estimating Animation effort for projects

  • Portfolio demonstrating mastery of animation fundamentals

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and independent self-direction

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (verbal and written)

  • A highly-collaborative, creative, and innovative spirit

  • Professionally and personally driven to learn new skills and techniques

  • Has an understanding of the industry and markets we serve

  • Able to receive and apply feedback

  • Able to adapt to different animation styles

  • Ability to propose original ideas based on game and brand understanding
