Job Description We have an immediate need for an Environment, Health and Safety Professional in the Anderson, IN area. EHS, is the individual that is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees within the manufacturing setting. He/She must have knowledge of OSHA standard requirements, and would work with plant management to ensure that OSHA requirements are met and that systems are implemented that encourage continuous improvement in the safety environment. The EHS is also responsible for assembling environmental and OSHA reporting requirements.
The quality side of the job, will require understanding and being involved in the different aspects of the process and the effect on the product quality. The position requires maintaining all the quality record, create new ones and modify old, and performing internal audits and manage the external audits.
The work will include being part of the production and process group and making sure the company meets the quality requirements.
Required: - Minimum 4 years' experience
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree with Quality emphasis is a plus
- Must have experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of chemistry, math, and other sciences
Job details :
- Choosing a hazardous waste contractor.
- Keeping company environmental waste records.
- Air emission permitting and related maintenance and paperwork.
- Water pollutant discharge and related maintenance and paperwork.
- Reporting hazardous waste records to the EPA including SARA, RCRA reporting forms.
- Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on hazardous materials used in the workplace.
- Doing routine safety inspections.
- Keeping OSHA required records on accidents and maintenance.
- Industrial Hygiene, and monitoring of employee exposure to hazards
- Employee Safety Training/Hazard Communication ("Haz Com").
- Monitoring records on safety equipment and PPE.
- Helping to solve workplace safety problems.
- Maintaining Safety contingency plans (fires, spills, etc.).
- Meeting local fire regulations, and insurance industry requirements.
- Develops safety procedures.
- Coordinates accident investigations.
- Perform internal quality audits
- Coordinate and be part of external audit
- Be familiar with all aspects of the company production and process that are in effect of the quality of the product.
- Organized Improve and maintain the existing quality system.
- Schedule and manage monthly management meetings to discuss aspects related with quality and performance
