Check it out and apply via iHireConstruction today! Taft is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support our Information Technology group in Taft’s Cincinnati, Columbus or Indianapolis office. Duties & Responsibilities Administration, configuration, and maintenance of the firm's Windows and Azure environments, including services like Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, ensuring best practices and security. Management of the firm's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, cloud, networking, and environmental systems, following security and best practices. Support configuration, implementation, and maintenance of datacenter networking and equipment. Assist with data protection policies and technologies like Cohesity and Veeam, ensuring data retention and recovery. Monitor IT equipment, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve hardware, security, or performance issues. Apply patches, firmware updates, and OS upgrades securely across all systems. Manage remote access technologies, including RDS and multifactor authentication. Support physical network hardware installation and maintenance. Collaborate with application teams for installation and updates, ensuring security and best practices. Proactively identify system resource issues and plan for growth. Support large IT infrastructure projects, including storage, servers, disaster recovery, and VOIP systems. Document all deployment, configuration, and upgrade processes. Complete scheduled operational tasks accurately and on time. Follow IT department standards and security policies, including change control. Assist with hardware decommissioning and data wiping for e-waste recycling. Provide escalation support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution per SLA. Adhere to ITIL disciplines, including incident, change, and problem management. Continuously update knowledge through seminars, reading, and professional participation. Excellent report writing and documentation skills. Availability for after-hours work and on-call rotations. Willingness to work on-site in Taft's data centers in Ohio and Arizona. Education & Experience Relevant education, training, experience, or certifications. Experience with Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, ADFS. Hardware maintenance experience with vendors like Dell, Cisco, HP. Experience with storage technologies like Pure, Dell/EMC, IBM, and cloud storage like Wasabi, Azure. Minimum 5 years supporting IT infrastructure services. Experience with Exchange, Isilon, VMware preferred. Familiarity with LAN/WAN, Cisco switches, wireless management. Knowledge of data protection platforms like Cohesity, Veeam. Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Cisco preferred. Experience with helpdesk systems like ServiceNow preferred.
