Job Description

Our client, a leading provider in the energy and utilities sector, is seeking Senior Business Process Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between their business group and IT. In this role, you will drive process improvement through business process creation, change management, and IT project delivery. You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions into business operations.

Rate: $72 - $90 / hr. w2

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and partner with end users to create business processes that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform gap analyses to compare current and future-state processes, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Support change management efforts, guiding smooth transitions during organizational changes and new system implementations.
  • Manage business requirements throughout the project delivery lifecycle, from elicitation to implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze and document business needs.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and drive decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain process models, workflows, and other documentation to ensure alignment between business objectives and IT solutions.
  • Support the Product Manager on gating-related activities as needed.
  • Provide IT representation on business area steering committees, quality improvement teams, and project implementation teams.
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of new IT solutions.
  • Assist with annual and long-range IT investment planning for assigned business areas.
  • Coordinate the Application Portfolio Management (APM) Process, systematically reviewing the functional and technical health of business applications on a rotating cycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or 15+ years of relevant business experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in business or IT systems analysis, delivering IT projects effectively.
  • Utility industry experience (metering, distribution, or related) is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in business process design and documentation.
  • Proven change management experience, particularly relating to IT.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, leading workshops, and guiding decision-making processes.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across multiple business groups.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
